One of the BEST parts of being African is the traditional outfits. In lue of the Black Panther Premire this week I thought I would feature my 3 favorite African clothing.

This blue dress was custom made. For Christmas last year I wanted something with a setimental value. I came home to visit my parents in Northern Viginia and my mom prashed the question if I would like a custom made dress. "Of course!" I exclaimed. How could I pass up the opportunity to get a new dress at no cost to me?

I love this dress because of the neck line. It is an off sholder top and skirt combo which fit together perfectly to make a esquisit dress.

When I lived in Atlanta there was this blacked owned business called Afrocentric. They sold eveything from shea butter to traditional cloth. I got this dress there for a reasonable priced and it fit perfectly. They offered a plethera of print options in the same dress style. This past year I fell in love just like the rest of younge adults with the off sholder look.

Finally we have this pants and top duo. This right here is defiently the show stopper. It is a look that can be dressed up and dressed down. Both peices can be worn speratley and compliment each other when wore together. I jenoyed wearing the pants because they were confortable yet fashionable at the same time.

New Video up on my youtube! If your like me you love a great deal! I've been thrifting for years now and I've learned a few things along the way.

I bought this dress for $2 at my local thrift store!

When thrifting theres a few things to keep in mind:

1. Go Early

It's best to go early in the morning because that is when the newest items are places on the racks. If your looking for specific items you are able to roam around and have a wider variety to choose from.

2. Research Your Local Thrift Stores for Sales

A few thrift stores in my area have certine days that they offer certain discounts. On Monday it is half off all items in the store. Thursdays is senior citizen day, and all the other day are special discounts depending the tag color.

3. Have Items In Mind

It is best to go into the thrift store with specific items in mind. Thrift stores can sometimes get overwhelming when you walk into them without a plan. It's just like going grocery shopping on an empty stomach. You end up buying things you do not need. When you have specific items in mind your able to save time and energy by just going straight to the section for shoes.

Check out this video to learn about the other items I got for super low prices.

Urg! I'm completely missing the beach right now. Summer is around the corner but this bipolar weather is really starting to get to me. Yesterday it was 60 degrees with clear skies, and today it was 35 with snowflakes. Let's take a moment to reminisce on last summer.

Walking the streets of Savannah I had to stop and capture this patriotic moment.Even though I am not yet a full US citizen, love for am still burns deep within me. The clear blue skies with their fluffy white marshmallow clouds mesmerized me through out that whole trip. Savannah was lovely.

The beachfront pavilion.

It would not have not been a moment to remember if there was not food! Not only

was there food, but the food was amazing! Calamari is my weakness and I surely had

my fair dosage on this trip.... take me back.
